Faith Groups & Community Projects
We offer a number of flexible drama projects for users in community settings to help both children and adults explore a range of themes. Please browse the options below and get in touch if you would like to discuss things more
1. A play in a day
Scene Change Theatre Company’s skilled workshop leaders will work together in a community setting through the rehearsal process covering acting skills, focus exercises, discussion forums, and interactive workshops, culminating in a performance with movement, costume and song. The day is an excellent way to build teamwork in a mixed group as well as reaching out to the locality and building community cohesion. This can be delivered to both children and adults and can act as a very effective all age activity. Follow up materials are also available for each Play in a Day project.
You can choose from any of the following Plays:

2. Play in a Pack
This is a resource to equip Youth, Community & Faith leaders to be able to run their own play in a day in their community setting using the themes and material of Scene Change Theatre Company’s repertoire. The pack can be purchased on line or as a hard copy. SCTC will come to your Youth or community centre to run a day’s training to deliver the package for a group of 20 or more. At present this package is only available for the King’s Quest play.
3. Change your Scene
We can offer interactive drama workshops exploring themes connected to our plays and your communities own needs. These sessions can be run as an evening activity or done over a half or full day. You can make a booking for any of the following themes: Fight for freedom (Free For all), be a child rights activist (World to Rights), Care for the planet (Down to Earth). Alternatively contact us with your own themes and we can design appropriate material and workshops
